Pleated AL Foil and Black Leather Guitar Strap

  This strap is made by pleating lambskin, then applying it over the very supple cowhide base strap.
  
  The lambskin has a special Aluminum foil effect finish--I have a listing for this applied flat over the cowhide base, but here it has been pleated first, then applied to the base strap with two rows of black stitching.
  
  I have left the first 4" over the front peg hole flat, then the pleats cover the strap up to the adjustment slot area. The leather has taken on a bit of distressed look, the grey is less apparent in person than in the photos, but provides a nice contrast with the silver foil side.
  
  The main strap is hand cut to 2 1/2" wide and tapers to about a 1 1/2" radius for the front peg end, and a more gentle taper on the other end with the slots. The lambskin is glued and edge stitched to a 1/8" thick brown leather, with the last 14" or so of the smooth top grain exposed on the slot end for to contrast the 1" wide adjustment strap of the same black leather so it can weave through the adjustment slots easily, but it is still firm, and will not stretch.
  
  The overall length of this strap as shown is adjustable from 48" to 58". The main strap is about 42" long, and the 11 slots are spaced from about 29" to 40" from the front peg hole. The adjustment strap is 18" from slot to its own peg hole when installed.
  
  The 1" wide adjustment strap loops through the chosen slot and is woven through the other slots to provide the desired length and fixes to the back pin on the guitar.
  
  The holes for the pegs are punched at 5/16" in the front, and 3/8" in the back, and a small slit ends with a small hole at the top of the slit to prevent tears & the "keyhole" effect makes the strap easier to install & remove, and can accommodate most pegs. The firm leather and stitching around the front peg hole keeps strap to remain secured once it's fitted fully in place.
  
  This design means the strap is only leather, and there is no metal or plastic hardware that could annoy you while you're playing, or your knock into you instrument while it's being moved or stored.
  
  This leather is best for acoustic guitars, or lighter weight electrics. It will ease with use, but should not stretch out of shape with normal wear.
  
  I can also provide leather "laces" if you prefer to tie the strap to the neck of the guitar, rather than using a front peg. And if you have a specific peg size you need to fit, please let me know. There is no extra charge for enlarging the peg holes or for the ties when you order the strap, but please note in the order if you want any of those changes. And I can make longer or shorter version as suits your fit and playing style pending this leather availability.
