• Details
  This is a very simple gray leather guitar strap that is on the blue storm-gray tones. It is oil tanned matte finish, and this 5-6oz (.090 inch) thick cowhide has a smooth matte finish, and has a very small top grain pattern on close inspection, and has a well worn feel and look, and will shows its life--and will wear well. It is very tough, yet supple, and will comfortably support acoustic or solid body instruments. And light scuffs can be rubbed out, but eventually areas worn/handled a lot will get a more polished and darker.
  
  The slot/adjustment strap weave design means the strap is only leather, and there is no metal or plastic hardware that could annoy you while you're playing, or your knock into you instrument while it's being moved or stored.
  
  There are 3 length options in stock for the 2 1/2" wide version and all adjust by the inch (customization is always an option, though):
  
  STANDARD is total of about 47" to 58"
  SHORTER is total of about 43 to 54"
  LONGER is total of about 50 to 60" (currently not available in this leather)
  
  And ask about modification for the "TRAVELER" option, which is narrower, 2" wide, and the shorter length to suit ukuleles or smaller guitars or players. But currently not enough of this hide to provide a separate option, but I can customize if you order the standard or shorter!
  
  My standard sizing for the peg holes is the FRONT peg hole is punched at 5/16", and REAR peg hole is 3/8". Each end has a small slit that ends with a small hole for a "keyhole" effect to prevent tears and to make the strap easy to install & remove. The hole and can accommodate most pegs, but remains securely in place. These sizes are based on Taylor & Martin acoustic guitars, so if you have a specific peg size or strap locks you need to fit, please let me know and I can make a strap to suit the size you need.
  
  Personalization/custom artwork is an option by either silk screening or laser etching, and you can either add on an order per the "Custom Artwork" listing, or convo me first with your idea and I can quote you the price to add (min $15 for laser etching or silk screen) and create a custom listing for you.
  
  The surface finish is about the same shade as the flesh underside, and it is a thru-dyed hide, so the cut edges are only gray. I soften the cut edges with a small bevel tool, so there is a gentle transition from the top surface to the edge.
  
  I've included an image with some black leather and the distressed brown (my most popular strap) to show the color, vs. my grey background.
  
  The main strap is hand cut to 2 1/2" wide and tapers slightly at either end. The TRAVELER only tapers in the front, and the back end corners have a radius.
  
  I cut the adjustment strap to about 22", with about 18" to the peg hole, so the overall length can be adjusted from about 47" to 58" between the peg holes for STANDARD, and 43" to 54" for SHORTER length with eleven 1" wide slots punched in for the adjustment strap to weave through to set your size.
  
  But since I cut these myself, I can easily modify the length, width (though only narrower for this leather) or spacing to get the fit that works for you. Or you can add more peg holes in this back strap for finer adjustment as you wear it in.
  
  This is also laser etched a few inches above the front peg hole and on the adjustment strap with my new brand logo, Acoustic Needle.
  
  I can also provide coordinating leather "laces" if you prefer to tie the strap to the neck of the guitar, rather than using a front peg. There is no extra charge for these when you order the strap, but please note in the order you want it included.
