Each paw snaps closed over the snap "eyes" and secures items in the front section, and you can access the zippered section w/out undoing the snaps.
There are two versions, a right handed (RED) or left handed (SILVER) kitty captain, and the details of the leathers does vary a bit between them, but for either the sizes are the same: zippers are 5" across, and the head is 5 1/2" across and 4 1/2" from zipper to ear tips. And unfilled the three leather layers are about 1/4" thick.
This provides room for cash or cards in the zippered or snap slot.
The right handed kitty, or the RED variation, has the shield over the left paw, thus its right paw is red.
The left handed kitty, or the SILVER variation, has the shield over the right paw, and its left paw is red.
In the photos you'll see the "reverse", like you do looking in the mirror, but the variations for ordering refers to the primary color of the right paw in "life", so opposite of the photos.
The right handed kitty: blue top and back, white middle layer and loop, and dark blue zipper.
The left handed kitty: blue top and back and loop, red middle layer, and dark blue zipper.
The white and blue are cowhides, and the reds are pigskin, and the silver star is laser cut from silver foiled lambskin.
These are made by sewing fitting the snap posts & sewing nose to the face, fitting the snap socket to the underside of the paw, then gluing elements to make the top side, and edge stitching the paws, which are then sewn to the center section after the zipper is sewn to the back and center pieces, capturing the finger loop ends. Then the face is placed over those and lined up to tack with glue and stitch through all three layers around the head.
Gold finish snaps were used, but these have oxidized a bit, but this is just aging, and not due to use--these are new pouches. -

Most guitar straps & even other items can have a name, image or some small message added to them via silk screen, laser etching.
